The project
Auckland Airport was voted one of the 10 top airports in the world in the 2009 Skytrax World Airport Survey. Some 13 million people pass through the airport per year – 35,000 every day! AFS Total Fire provides planned maintenance, testing, compliance and service work for the airport terminals, offices and retail spaces. The company is also involved in much of the new installation work at the airport through Hawkins Construction.
The role of AFS Total Fire
AFS Total Fire engages directly with the facilities maintenance team at the airport to proactively manage this complex system, one which is critical for the safe operation of New Zealand’s main air transport hub. Staff from AFS Total Fire liaise with their partners at Auckland Airport at least once a week.
